MUTEMWA". Lodge "MUTEMWA"
A three-hour drive from Livingstone, hidden from human sight on the banks of the Upper Zambezi is a lodge that is one of the best places to go for a tigerfish trophy. Mutemwa means “place of the big trees“ and indeed, camping under their crowns creates an extraordinary sense of merging with African nature.
The Lodge consists of six tented bungalows overlooking the river, set on teak platforms. Each bungalow has two beds and an en-suite bathroom. The maximum capacity of the lodge – 12 persons. The lodge has its own airstrip, which allows tourists to arrive here by charter plane.
30 km. of private river area were chosen 15 years ago focusing on the quality of fishing. There is only one small camp on this section, so it is almost unreal to meet fishermen here and all the water belongs to you. The abundance of rapids, holes, whirlpools, small streams and backwaters make this an ideal place for fishing.

The Lodge is located on an island 95km west of Livingstone, on the border with Namibia. The lodge sleeps up to 24 people. Accommodation is in spacious tented bungalows for two or 4 people.
