Located on a remote island off the central coast of British Columbia, our hotel is rich in history and unique architecture. Friendly staff, calm waters and abundant wildlife will make your vacation an unforgettable adventure.
About the Resort: a small resort, accommodating only 18 people at a time. All guests arrive and depart on either Mondays or Fridays throughout the summer.
Prices include: accommodation, all meals and drinks including fine wines and spirits, fully guided fishing for each day of the trip, filleting and packing of any catch, and gear to keep you warm and dry.
Tour Duration: 4 and 5-day voyages on "all-inclusive" fully guided tours on 27-foot North River boats with enclosed cabins and bathrooms on board. The location is unique in that it is between Vancouver Island and mainland British Columbia, so the water is very calm and there are many bays to explore. We can catch all 5 species of Pacific salmon including chinook and coho salmon as well as halibut, lingcod and rockfish. Activities for each day are determined by the group, so time on the water can be completely individualized! All of our optional packages (fly fishing or offshore fishing) are included in your package price and can be added at any time you wish.
Climate
Thanks to the Atlantic Ocean, the climate in the region is temperate. Winters are snowy, often with storms, while summers are mild and humid, often foggy. The average temperature in winter is from -7C to -15C and in summer from +15C to +25C. The farther away from the ocean, the greater the temperature difference.
How to get there
Flight from Vancouver, BC to Port Hardy on a scheduled Pacific Coastal airline flight (1 hour). From there, take a 30 minute cab ride to the harbor where our boats will pick you up and take you to our dock in 15 minutes. Some of our guests also travel to Port McNeill, BC where our boats pick them up.
