Fishing on the Skeena River, British Columbia

Kalum River Lodge, located near Terrace in British Columbia, Canada, is in the heart of some of the best bodies of water in the world. Fishing the Skeena River and its tributaries offers a variety of fish, and a long fishing season that begins in early spring and continues into late fall.
Fly fishermen come from all over the world to fish these legendary waters. Many consider fly fishing for steelhead to be the ultimate in fly fishing. With large numbers of fish migrating up the Skeena River, anglers have the opportunity to catch several species of salmon in a day. The guides at the lodge are very experienced fly anglers with extensive knowledge of the waters. They will work with you for as long as you need them.
The fishing season begins in April and runs through early November. The spring season brings steelhead, trout and chinook salmon to the rivers. Fly fishing throughout the summer season is an opportunity to catch steelhead and all five species of salmon. It's a terrific experience that keeps many anglers coming back year after year. By early September, the tributaries are filled with coho salmon and steelhead.
