Fishing at the fishing camp "LÅNGSJÖBY"

Open water season is the most active time when anglers plan their fishing trips. The most interesting fishing spots – mountain rivers and lakes, different types of fishing and a variety of catches – bass, pike, arctic walleye, rainbow trout, brook trout and grayling are available at this time.
The winter fishing season, which in this region runs from November through May, offers countless opportunities to fish in places that are difficult to reach in the summer. Snowmobiles and motorboats, this is fishing in «Swedish style». In the winter/spring season is especially active fishing for whitefish, which is justifiably considered the largest in Europe. Thanks to the density of fish and oxygen-rich waters, Sweden's lakes don't slumber in winter!
Here fishing — is a year-round activity, woven into the rhythm of life in the north. From April to November you will fish in crystal clear rivers and quiet lakes, using spinning, fly fishing or trolling, and you can catch Arctic char (up to 6 kg), rainbow trout (record weight 12 kg), kumja (up to 7 kg), grayling (1,5–1.8 kg), whitefish (4.0–5.0 kg), perch (1.5–2.0 kg) and pike (up to 15 kg).
The types of fishing:
Summer fishing
Starts at the end of April and lasts until the end of November. The most popular types of summer fishing in northern Sweden are spinning, fly fishing and trolling.
Winter fishing
Starts in December and ends in early May. In winter you can catch grayling (up to 1.5 kg), perch (up to 1.5 kg) and pike. Fishing for mormyshka is popular in Sweden in winter.
Ice fishing
Winter fishing — is the season for catching whitefish. The second most popular winter fish is the Arctic char. Specimens weighing up to 3 kg are not rare at all.
Nakhlist fishing
Fishing for grayling, trout, char and pike in the turbulent streams of small mountain rivers and in calm lakes — it is an incredible adventure!
Spinning Fishing
Fishing for large wild rainbow trout with jig, trolling, artificial bait, small wobblers and trollers.
Often guests of the base spend part of their time exploring other tourist opportunities, going to the mountain slopes for skiing, flying to inaccessible peaks for untouched nature and magnificent lake trout, a day trip to Norway, picking mushrooms and berries – we have everything nearby.
