Hunting Eurasian wild boar in Turkey

The Eurasian wild boar is available throughout Turkey and has a large population and high trophy quality. These important characteristics make boar hunting enjoyable and productive. Although the wild boar population is very high in all parts of Turkey, however, some areas stand out for their large tusks. Such regions are considered to be the Black Sea region (northern Turkey), Central Anatolia (Ankara and Bolu) and the Mediterranean coast of Turkey (south). Turkish wild boars have not only a large body weight, but also extremely strong tusks. The average length of boar tusks ranges from 18 to 22 cm, and in high-class boars - 23-32 cm. Every year our hunters extract a lot of large tusks, some of which are golden trophies from 24 to 31 cm long. In 5 days of hunting, you can really count on 4-8 strong wild boars, and if you're lucky, even more.
To get to the Mediterranean coast in southern Turkey, hunters need to fly to Antalya, and to get to the Black Sea region of Turkey and Central Anatolia, they need to fly to Ankara. The hunting grounds can be reached from the nearest airport in 1-4 hours by car, depending on their location.
The territories for corral hunting are located in picturesque mountainous areas, they are easily accessible by trails, so moving from place to place can be carried out using vehicles. This means that even older and less athletic hunters can participate in this hunt. Since all the land is a free-grazing area, the success of hunting and daily production largely depend on the hunter's shooting skills, especially during corral hunts. These wild mountainous areas are famous not only for their huge daily prey, but also for extremely strong wild boars (even top-class - 21-29 cm), as well as a high percentage of old and huge females.
